Announcing a New International Journal:
Applied Membrane Science & Technology

Penerbit Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM Press) is pleased to introduce Applied Membrane Science & Technology, a new international journal focusing on membrane science & technology, to be published bi–annually in June and December.

Applied Membrane Science & Technology (AMST) is created to provide another publication outlet for relevant research on recent advances in the science and technology of membrane. The journal aims to serve the evolving needs of membranologists across the region who are constantly looking for timely and relevant research and new ideas. In short, AMST will provide a forum for peer–reviewed scholarly research, interpretative reviews and discussions of new development in applied membrane science and technology.

With this announcement, Penerbit UTM invites submissions of quality papers to be considered for publication. Reports of carefully executed experimental work which are soundly interpreted are also welcome.

Applied Membrane Science & Technology covers the following areas: Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Application of nanotechnology in membrane, food, water, and waste water treatment, Oil and gas, Mineral extraction, Mineral extraction, and Renewable energy exploitation.

The journal accepts original research papers, reviews and short communications. Short communications should not exceed 4–6 printed pages and should be a concise and complete description of an investigation. For more information on the journal, please email us atjournal_utm@utm.my or yatia.r@utm.my

We hope that this announcement will serve as a motivation for researchers to begin thinking about submitting papers that might be suitable with the vision and objectives of this journal. The success of this new journal may well depend on the commitment and enthusiasm of many people – publisher, authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and subscribers.
