The purpose of this book; to shed light on the practical applications in cadastral activities, current strata practices, and the potential improvements on cadastral and strata practices in Malaysia. Cadastre is the core of a land administration system by the integration of cadastral data and legal data through an information system to support the functions of land tenure, land value, land use and land development. A developed country is equipped with an advanced cadastre system to effectively map and register the land, which in turn facilitates the land development in the country. Cadastral practice refers to the survey and mapping activities involved in producing a certified plan. Strata practice refers to the process of obtaining strata titles for high-rise buildings or landed properties that are located within a strata scheme. This book focuses on the cadastral and strata practice in Malaysia. Problematic areas are identified and solutions are proposed after the comprehensive studies. Each chapter adopts a unique methodology to achieve the designation objectives.
