Description
Plug-in Electric Vehicles have gained a great deal of popularity in recent years due to cleaner propulsion. The fundamentals of plug-in electric vehicles and their smooth integration with smart grids are explained in a variety of books. The available books also focus on advancements in electric vehicles with time. There is a need for a comprehensive research book that addresses key concepts required for plug-in electric vehicle integration and emphasizes basic as well as advanced knowledge from students to policymakers; specifically targeting Malaysians. In this context, the proposed book entitled “Integration of Electric Vehicles with Modern Power Grids in Malaysia” provides a systematic investigation of Malaysia’s electrification of transportation, revealing the essential characteristics of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and their smooth integration into the nation’s power system. This book, not only examines the state of art EV technology currently but also highlights the contribution of the Malaysian government to promote the use of EVs, the availability of EV charging stations dispersed throughout Malaysia, the potential for renewable sources of energy for EV charging in Malaysia, and the estimated impacts of EVs in Malaysia. Additionally, the proposed book discusses challenges and solutions associated with the wide-scale adoption of electric vehicles in Malaysia. The book provides fundamental concepts and planning concepts for the smooth integration of EVs in Malaysia, which is useful for students, policymakers, and stockholders throughout Malaysia.
