This book reviews the concept of sustainable development and describes the extent to which sustainability principles are being incorporated into tourism concept, in general, and into the emerging idea of community-based rural tourism, in particular. Conceptual framework on sustainable community-based rural tourism (CBRT) is being discussed, including the identification of probable benefits and costs of CBRT, and local and stakeholders participation in planning and developing the sustainable CBRT.
