Description
An invention is a new and valuable something that did not exist before. An engineer with the ability to invent is a dream asset for a company as in this increasingly global world, producing a unique and different product is an ideal factor for a company to sustain and become economically successful. As an engineer, inventing or creating a new product is not as easy as taking a pen and sketch your idea on a piece of paper. That’s the very reason why Yoshio and Saburo’s first attempt failed. Check this out in Chapter 1. So how, actually? On top of the knowledge and creativity, engineers need a guided way to be set in motion. This systematic process of designing is called a design process. You can find the introduction to this in the first chapter. In the following chapters, the authors present their design projects in various applications. The projects include an automated filter cleaner for domestic air-conditioner, a multipurpose corn seed sowing jig, a portable incinerator for domestic usage, a flying machine using flapping wings for propulsion, a hand control mechanism for a paraplegic driver, an automatic fish feeder, a micro wind turbine, and a mechanical coconut husk peeler. This book will be beneficial for engineering students as future engineers and design educators to get a fundamental view of the engineering design process.
