Emotional intelligence and motivation are two important aspects in leaders. However, in reality, many leaders are lacking in these two aspects. Fortunately, these aspects can be trained and developed. Hence, this book explains how the emotional competence training could develop leaders’ emotional intelligence and motivation. In which, the emotional competence training managed to improve leaders’ emotional intelligence dimension of perception of emotion, managing own emotion, managing others emotion and utilization of emotion; and for the self-motivation, it has a positive effect for the dimension of internal motivation, self concept internal and goal internalization. Interestingly, by developing the self-concept internal and goal internalization managed to reduce the needs for depending on the external motivation such as instrumental and self-concept external. As a conclusion, an effective emotional competence training would be able to improve the emotional intelligence and internal motivation of the leaders.
