Description
Property forecasts are now widely used and are increasingly receiving more weight in property investment analysis and portfolio strategy by major property investors. Forecast evaluation in the property literature is a relatively new area, with much of the previous research focusing on developing econometric models to determine these property forecasts.
However in this book, rather than use econometric models, the focus will be to develop a property forecasting procedure for the Malaysian property markets by using local property experts? opinions to develop one-year ahead property forecasts, with this forecasting procedure to be implemented every six months.
The survey will provide feedback from property experts in coming up with Malaysian property market forecasts and economic forecasts to assist all property investment decision-makers and participants in the property markets in Malaysia. This would see Malaysia having comparable property forecasting procedures to those currently implemented in the UK, Europe and Australia. Furthermore, it will then make Malaysia property market is competitive from other countries to attract foreign and local investors.
